What a save does

A save is one PUT /api/combos/<id> to the gateway, which merges the body onto the stored chain: a stored target keeps the connection it is pinned to when its model id is unchanged, and a renamed or retargeted one is re-resolved by the gateway. Routing changes take effect on the next request — no redeploy.
